AI skin analysis, native to your Shopify store.

Add a face scan to your storefront. Oyster reads the skin, builds a routine from your own catalogue, fills the cart, and ties every order back to the scan that produced it.

The shopper journey

From a scan to an order on your store.

Oyster handles the skin analysis and product matching. Customers use your existing Shopify cart and checkout.

01
Open

A shopper opens the scan from the theme app embed, an inline block or the scan page.

02
Scan

Oyster reads the skin and finds the concerns that matter for this face.

03
Match

A routine comes together from products that synced from your catalogue and are in stock.

04
Cart

The matched products drop straight into that shopper's Shopify cart.

05
Checkout

They check out on your store, with your own payment methods and emails.

06
Attribute

When the order is paid, Oyster links it to the customer’s scan.

Setup

Set up your storefront in an afternoon.

Set up the app in Shopify admin and the theme editor without writing code.

1

Install the app

Get the Oyster app from the Shopify App Store and approve the access it asks for. Oyster appears in your admin.

2

Connect your account

Sign in with your Oyster vendor account. Your store gets its own encrypted credential.

3

Choose what syncs

Nothing syncs until you set a scope. Pick your whole catalogue, or only the collections and tags you want, then run the first import.

4

Add the scan

Add the scan with the Oyster theme app embed or a block, drop it into any Online Store 2.0 section from the theme editor, or place it on any page.

Catalogue sync

Recommendations built from your own products.

Oyster only ever recommends what you stock and what is in stock. Syncs run in the background, so saving a product never waits on the network. You set the scope, and you can change it any time.

What syncs

Imported automatically for each product you select.

Three fields you enrich

Add these product details to improve matching. Use product metafields or import them from a CSV.

  • IngredientsList one ingredient per line so Oyster can use it when matching products.
  • Skin typeNormal, Dry, Oily, Combination, Sensitive, Acne prone or Mature.
  • SizeEnter the amount and unit shown on the product.
Attribution

See which scan led to each order.

Each order carries the scan id, the routine id and the widget attribution id. When the order is paid, Oyster records it beside the scan it came from in your dashboard.

Reporting runs after payment and never touches Shopify checkout, your customer emails or fulfilment. The sale stays entirely yours.

On the order

The scan details saved with an order.

  • Scan idThe exact analysis that produced the routine.
  • Routine idThe set of products recommended to the shopper.

FAQ

Shopify skin analysis, answered.

Does Oyster work with my Shopify theme?+
Yes. The scan runs through the Oyster theme app embed and blocks, so it drops into any Online Store 2.0 theme from the theme editor with no code. You can also place it on any page, and it takes the width and styling your theme gives it.
Where do the product recommendations come from?+
From your own catalogue. You choose which products sync, and Oyster only ever recommends items you stock and that are in stock. It never suggests a product you do not sell.
Does it change my checkout?+
No. Shoppers check out on your store with your own payment methods, taxes, receipts and emails. Oyster fills the cart and records attribution after payment, with no effect on Shopify checkout or fulfilment.
How long does it take to set up?+
An afternoon. Install the app from the Shopify App Store, connect your Oyster vendor account, choose which products sync and run the first import, then add the scan to your theme.
Is customer skin data kept private?+
Yes. Oyster is ISO 27001 certified, no individual identity is exposed in analytics, and your vendor credential is stored encrypted and never reaches the browser.
